I was a firefighter for the Wisconsin Air National Guard at the 128th Air Refueling Wing and for the United States Air Force in Kirkuk, Iraq. I was a staff member at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) and was also an adjunct instructor for the School of Information Studies (SOIS). I developed curricula and taught courses on programming fundamentals and mobile app development for SOIS. I co-founded a program at UWM called the App Brewery that paired student mobile app developers with local nonprofits & researchers from the Medical College of Wisconsin. Since leaving UWM, I’ve worked in digital advertising and for an Internet of Things (IoT) company doing satellite monitoring and control of oil wells and industrial equipment.
For two and a half years, I worked remote for an Austin based startup called 3Data. We built a multi-user data science and presentation platform that worked collaboratively across Virtual Reality headsets, Augmented Reality glasses, phones, tablets, and web browsers. From 2020 – 2021, I had an exhibit in the Trajectory Series at the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum. The exhibit ended January 2021 but, can be seen online at Google Arts & Culture. Currently, I build software for VERSES AI and help raise three kids I co-authored with my lovely wife in Greendale, WI.
