3D Chess
Virtual Reign is a multi-player, 3D Chess game built as part of a 2020 Grant for the Web project funded by Mozilla, Coil, and the Creative Commons. The game is built on top of Mozilla Hubs, the Immers Space social network, and Chess.js. The game can be played in both a web browser and a VR headset.
Team
My role in the project was to build-out the interactive Chess game using the technologies listed above. My grant partner Will Murphy built out the Immers Space ActivityPub implementation and Dulce Baerga built the vaporwave aestetic room and chess pieces.
Open-source
Both Virtual Reign and Immer Space are both free, open-source projects. The code for Virtual Reign can be found in the Immers Space custom Hubs client.
